In 2003, Ames Engineering developed the first laser
profiling system designed specifically to address the unique surface
characteristics of tined or textured concrete. Our three laser solution,
called the
TriODS, eliminated the problem of single point lasers "seeing"
down into the grooves from tining. Tested by the ACPA in October 2003,
the
TriODS demonstrated improved performance on transverse tining, longitudinal tining,
and smooth turf drag surfaces.
In 2005, Ames Engineering partnered with
LMI Selcom to test the new
RoLine sensor, a large footprint height sensor.
In October 2005, the ACPA tested our new
RoLine and found it to offer superb results.
